Cream Cheese Turnover Crust

Crust adapted from The Art and Soul of Baking by Cindy Mushet

makes 9
  • 1½ cups (7½ ounces) unbleached all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 stick (4 ounces) cold unsalted butter, diced
  • 1 (8-ounce) package cold cream cheese, cut into 8 pieces
